By analyzing user trends, businesses can identify patterns in user behavior, such as the most popular pages on their website, the devices and browsers visitors are using, and the geographic locations of their audience. The acquisition overview reports provide organic visitors, like New Users by User medium and Sessions by Sessions medium. It also provides "Average Engagement time” and "Engaged sessions."

If you want to keep tabs on how many customers are coming back, access the Retention Overview feature in your GA4 tool. Once you obtain this figure, you can make a comparison between the number of new and returning users.

Traffic acquisition report

The traffic acquisition report provides information on the origin of new sessions, regardless of whether the user is a new or returning one. On the other hand, the User acquisition report concentrates solely on the initial session of a new user and doesn't include returning users.

If you wish to see information on a particular traffic source, there are two options available. You can either filter the report or make use of the search bar located above the report table. For instance, if you want to view the session source/medium for organic Google Search traffic, you can type Google / organic in the search bar and press Enter.

Assuming that you are using the Google Search Console integration (which is highly recommended), a fresh set of reports will be at your disposal to add to your reporting navigation menu.

The Landing page report exhibits metrics that are specific to SEO, which is pretty much what one would anticipate, like organic Google search click, Organic Google search impressions, click-through rate (CTR), average position etc.
