Meta Offline Conversion API

Meta Offline Conversion API Integration

The Meta Offline Conversions API will be discontinued in May 2025. After this date, it will no longer be possible to use the Offline Conversions API to upload event data to offline event sets. As a result, you will need to use the Conversions API for tracking offline events.

There are three main ways to send offline conversion data via Conversions API (CAPI) integration.

Automated Integration:

  • Utilize Zapier or a similar automation tool to connect your CRM system with Meta Pixel.
  • Configure triggers that automatically send offline conversion events to Meta in real-time whenever an order is placed in a physical store.

Manual Using Google Sheets :

  • If data mapping through automation( Zapier with your CRM) fails, then you can create a structured Google Sheet following Meta’s data standards.
  • Set up google sheet automation to trigger an event to Meta when a new order is logged in the sheet.

Using Google Tag Manager (GTM)

If you are already using Server-Side tracking then this might be the best way to set up offline conversion via Meta Conversion API.

  • Send a webhook to a server-side GTM (sGTM) when a purchase occurs in the physical store with purchase event data.
  • Set up GTM server side to receive the information via webhook.
